Gov.gr Wallet
The Gov.gr Wallet solution and Mobile App, implemented by Cognity, represents a significant step forward in digital governance and public service efficiency. This innovative digital wallet provides citizens with secure and easy access to their personal government-issued documents, such as identity card, driver's license, automobiles, real estate ownership, social security, sports event tickets & access to stadiums, as well as other information, all in a centralized, digital format. The primary benefit of this system is its convenience; it allows users to access and display necessary documents anytime and anywhere, directly from their smartphones. Gov.gr Wallet can also be used for identity verification at the airports for domestic flights and has also been used in the recent elections as the digital identity card of the citizen who wanted to vote.
Gov.gr Wallet is the first European wallet to interoperate with another EU country Wallet, the Digital Citizen Wallet of Cyprus. Greece and Cyprus were the first two EU countries enabling this Citizen Wallet integration and interoperability.

Digital Citizen Wallet - Cyprus
Following the success of the Gov.gr Wallet, Cognity also implemented the Digital Citizen Wallet of the Republic of Cyprus contributing to the digitalisation of Cyprus Public Sector Governance and Public service efficiency. This digital wallet provides citizens with secure and easy access to their personal government-issued documents, such as identity card, driver's license, and other information, all in a centralized, digital format.
Gov.gr Wallet and Digital Citizen Wallet were the first European wallets to interoperate.
